Jenny?
I was just wondering what happened to Jenny, our founder? I don't see her picture under the "followers". Did she leave the sisterhood?

Our Paths
We all have pretty paths at the ready. Jenny has the golf course in all its green glory. I love this because I grew up at the golf course. The view out our window was always green.
April has this sweet little byway. Just across from their home, they can pack up and head away into the great outdoors.
Kelli has this sweet little greenbelt trail. All of us have inviting roads to meander down, feeling the good Colorado air, listening to the birds tweeting, and for all of you, steering the stroller. Let's walk a lot this summer. Walking keeps our minds alive. Walking keeps the kids busy and walking is good, good, good. Jesus walked and walked and walked. He was always moving but never rushed.

A Smackerel of Honey
I ate two delicious pieces of peanut butter and honey toast this morning. (As a side note, those two pieces of toast are about an entire day's worth of WW points!)
Tasting the honey makes me think of how walking with Jesus -- our daily time with him -- is like honey to our souls. The image of our soul tasting honey as our taste buds taste honey is a good reminder for me. When our souls feel weary, He is what (who) satisfies us.

Mommies
I read about Moses' mom today in my daily devotional. She had three amazing kids: Moses, Aaron, and Miriam. She didn't get a whole lot of mentions. But, she LOVED God with all her heart and poured herself into her children, I'm sure. Every hug, every sweet whisper into babies' ears COUNTS. Every eyeball-to-eyeball "I'm paying attention to you" experience matters. I'm thankful that you three have the sweet privilege of motherhood. YOU are all SO good at it.

Dedication
-"Even though we've disobeyed Him and done wrong, He wasn't turned away from us. God is determined not to lose us."
*I got this out of one of my many bible study books. But, what stuck out to be was the fact that God is DETERMINED not to lose us. Number one, DETERMINED is a strong word and is one word that speaks many to me. Another thing is that if someone were to say that to you - "I am determined not to lose you." You are almost guaranteed to blush (given the right circumstances). But, now that the creator of all feels that way for YOU - now that is dedication. Am I making sense?
-"God saved you by grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this: It is a gift from God." -Ephesians 2:8
*So???? How do we return the favor, right? well, you prove your dedication back to him by spreading the word, and most of all... spending quality time with him every time. And remember it's not quantity, it's quality!

Types of Prayers
We've been studying Hannah the last few weeks in my Bible study and the emphasis has been on prayer. I was wondering what your favorite type or way of praying is? Examples, praise and adoration, thanksgiving, confession, supplication for yourself and others, or just plain crying out to God. I think I most often start by thanking the Lord for things, but the bulk of my prayers end up in asking for things for myself and others. My favorite type of prayer is just plain old crying out to God. This is when I'm most vulnerable and open with the Lord, which is what He longs for, and draws me closer to Him. It's amazing that I do not pray this way more often, because the Lord knows all my thoughts, there's no point in trying to hide things from Him or put on a brave face. Plus, He never rolls His eyes or gets tired of us coming to Him, so He's the perfect One to be ourselves with. How about you?

Bedtime Prayers

Hi good mommies!
I've started saying my prayers at night. It's hard to remember to set aside time to fold my hands and bow my head but when I do, the prayers just keep coming. Dad and I pray in the morning, and I pray in my journal, but this addition of evening prayer is sweet. Do you say bedtime prayers?

Web Bible Study
-Here's the deal. Mom - you work full time. Kelli - you have two energetic daughters, and run a business. April - you have two energetic kids and you live far away. Me - I work full time and have a hard time getting the energy up to travel. So, the solution? Internet/Web bible study. Now, I'm not saying you have to post every day or even every week. Here's the structure to this all. I will send an e-mail with the user name and password. No more than one post a day so every one can get a chance to see it. I know that the thing I dislike most about bible studies is the books. So, we will create our very own personal bible study. We are all very bright women and can come up with our own ways to reach out to each other. Whether it is a bible verse or just words of wisdom or if it's just asking for help. This is a way for us all to stay connected. A place to turn to or a group of friends to come to. So, I will start!
-We are the heir to God's promise-
"After starting your Christian lives in the spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort?"- Galations 3:3
-What I get out of this verse is after you have had a taste of Christ being your center, how can you try and be perfect on your own? It's almost like YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER! Don't be silly and try and manipulate your world when all you have to do is give up all control to Christ. I know that the business of all of our lives can distract us from the real answer. So, when I get really frustrated at work and catch myself trying to make things perfect through my own hands is pointless. Really, you just need to stop, breath, and trust. Trust that He is watching out for you. Realize that you are not in control. There may not always be an answer to what is going on, but just trust that He knows what is best for YOU. He has a plan, you just need to live your life for Him. PERIOD.
